On Wednesday we went to the distribution center so that Sandy could get her own temple clothes, so that we could go to the temple that night. After we were done at the distribution center, we went to Chinook and had lunch and did a little shopping. Sandy got some new runners and I got a new swimsuit, that actually fits me.
My mom came over and watched Joey so that the three of us could go to a temple session. Its been a few months since we've been able to go so it was nice to go and relax and enjoy the peace that comes from going to the temple.
Thursday we went to the zoo and then went to lunch with Susan and Slade. Susan and Sandy met when we got married and have had a connection since then and we try and connect up with her when she comes to visit, and this time it actually worked out.
Friday we decided to spend our last day with Sandy in Banff. We got a late start because we were dealing with some issues with J's work so by the time we got on the road it was about 11. We got into Banff and found a parking spot and had lunch at Earls. Then we walked around so Sandy could get something for Beth and then we went to Bow Falls. We had gone there last year in the winter so it was nice to see it in the summer. J's family had been there when they had done their trip across Canada when J was 10 so Sandy had a good time going back there. After we were done at Bow Falls, we went to Lake Minnewanka and walked around there before we headed back to Calgary. On our way into town, we stopped at Peter's for some dinner and then back home for some relaxing. Joey had no nap at all and I thought he would be so exhausted but he was wired. We let him stay up later than normal since Grandma was leaving the next morning. David and Telly came over too and they helped get his energy out.
Here are some more pictures from the trip.
J and his mom after we were done our temple session.
At lunch at Earls. This kid loves ice cubes.
J and his mom taking a nice picture. The other ones I took were silly.
Me and the munchkin. Proof I was there too.
Standing on the car in his new hoody from Grandma. She sure spoils him.
Put his feet in Bow Falls. Was cold but it didn't stop him from doing it lol.
Being a goof on the drive back.
Pictures with Grandma at Bow Falls. Waterfall, mountie and mountain.
It was a great visit with Grandma and its nice that its a shorter time apart this time. We are going to Ontario at the end of the month for a week so we will be able to see them then.
xoxo
